When looking for wedding venues in the Research Triangle area, it can be a bit overwhelming. That’s why I have decided to pull five of my favorite wedding venues for you! Being a photographer, I have some insight on venues of the area – the people, the space, and well, how well it photographs! Take a look at these beautiful spaces below!
Looking for that perfect space with charm, class, and elegance? Then you have to add The Merrimon-Whynne as one of your options to check out! Located right in the heart of Raleigh, NC this 1876 house (who doesn’t love historic charm?) turned event venue will deliver amazing service on an exquisite backdrop. The Merrimon-Whynne offers several options for the ceremony site, both indoors and outdoors (bonus: great rain plan option) and you’ll have the entire property to yourselves and your guests. In addition, ceremony and reception on the same site allow for guests to move right into party mode.
The name may give it away, but it does not do this property justice. The Meadows at Firefly Farm is 115 acre land that just gives you a breath of fresh air. This venue accommodates both indoors and outdoors (great for rain plans) and has both a ceremony and reception site, minimizing any additional logistics for you and your wedding guest. While leaving it “bare” still gives you an exquisite backdrop, you’re able to dress it up however you see fit. If you’re looking for a vast, airy space with a more nature-esque look (while delivery exceptional, high quality service), then definitely give this place a call.
Bonus: They have outdoor bathtubs – which are not for actually bathing, but are an amazing photo op!
If you’re looking for a space that mixes industrial with rustic charm, then check out Chatam Station. With one side covered in distressed white brick, the other side houses seven garage doors (basically seven industrial windows as these garage doors aren’t like the typical ones) bringing in the most stunning light and shadow play for your wedding. Since it’s almost a sort of blank canvas, you are able to really bring in your style to this space to dress it up how you see fit.
A colonial-style charm with clean, minimalist features allows you to dress up or down this beautiful space, located in Holly Springs. This venue comes equipped with both a bridal and groom suite and allows for both indoor and outdoor ceremony/reception options. If you’re interested in an all-inclusive service, Mims House offers this service through Mad Dash Weddings.
Keeping with the charm, The Parlour at Manns Chapel’s character is something hard to replicate. Perfect for smaller, more intimate weddings, this venue houses both an indoor site and an outdoor courtyard. If you’re looking for a venue that brings a more “family style” reception (think long farm tables), then this place will be perfect for your wedding!
Bonus: They also have a gorgeous Airstream that brings even more character to the venue! Want to sneak away for a quiet moment? Or add some extra elements to your photos? This is something you definitely don’t want to miss out on.
Double Bonus: This space is one of the two spaces I offer as part of my boudoir sessions. The character is like no other, and would be the perfect space for your bridal boudoir session!
If you’re ready, I’m ready. Let’s set up a call to start creating together.
